Millport Model Railway Club continues to entertain children, whilst transporting adults back to their own childhood memories.
The club is hosting its AGM on Wednesday 8 February at 1pm, and new members are welcome to join.
Treasurer John Burtt said: "We had over 2000 visitors last year to the model railway club within the Garrison grounds, which is really marvellous. We have been particularly grateful to enthusiasts who have provided donations. We have as many as 50/60 visitors on a good summer's day."
The club opened in Easter 2008, and been supported by businesses, organisations and residents. The detail of the models are very in-depth including The Garrison, Royal George Hotel, Cal Mac ferry, Cathedral of the Isles, Impressed Peter McLean, who now lives in Caracas, Venezuela, emailed the 'News'  to say he remembers a model railway display in a back garden in Ferry Road during the war, with one penny entry.
* Explosive - Kilmarnock Model Railway Club is hosting its 35th exhibition in the Volunteer Rooms, in Irvine High Street on Saturday and Sunday. 
Clubs also exhibiting – Kyle MRC and Renfrewshire MRC. An operation display of vintage Triang stock will be on display, including the “exploding” Triang stock from the past.
