Millport Police have called for motorists to take extra care due to flooding on both the Ferry Road and the coastal road.
PC Emans said: "Please drive appropriately and give sufficient time in going for the ferry, specially on Ferry Road as there is fast running water as you drive past Steel's farm all the way to the bottom of the hill where it meets the coast road at the White House.
"Due to the running water on Ferry road there is some debris in places."
There is also standing water on the A78 between Largs and Fairlie, and Fairlie and West Kilbride, leading to testing driving conditions.
