Thanks to the low tide, islanders were able to get a rare chance to paddle out to the 'Eileans' off Millport last week.
On Thursday and Friday evenings. a large group paddled across to get the chance to examine the small islet which is usually a home to the local seal population at various times of year.
But the seals had scappered, meaning that local folk could head across and enjoy the natural surroundings during the recent spell of good weather.
It is usually illuminated during the September Weekend too, and visitors often look out to the tiny rocky island area, but only on the odd occasion is the tide low enough to wade out across to.
Although they weren't quite walking on water, the islanders were delighted to gain the rare opportunity of paddling out towards the Eileans because of the low tide.
