Island residents have been left 'appalled' after a series of locations on Millport were targeted with graffiti earlier this week.
Local businesses and residents are eager to 'nip the problem in the bud' after several walls were targeted, and police enquiries have been continuing into the matter.
It would appear that the graffiti emerged overnight between Monday and Tuesday, within Kelburn Street, Crosshouse and George Street areas. And a mural in the Garrison grounds provided by Largs Academy children has also been ruined with graffiti scrawled over it.
Cumbrae Community Development Company CEO Michael Bertram has said that they are working with the police to hopefully rid the island of the menace, and Cumbrae Community Council are also raising the matter at their monthly meeting.
If you can help the police, phone the non-emergency phone number of 101.
