Millport Country Music Festival has announced that Baylen Leonard, from BBC Radio 2 Country, will MC the concerts at the festival headlined by The Shires and Mark Chesnutt on September 2nd and 3rd.

Baylen, who is also a presenter on Chris Country, will also curate the wide variety of country music played between the live sets throughout each day.

A representative of Millport Country Music Festival said: “Baylen is a terrific addition to the already strong line up which, in addition to the headliners, features Glasgow band Ashton Lane, and from Nashville, David Ray, Morgan Frazier and Adley Stump.

The organisers are delighted to be able to confirm that Calmac have extended the Cumbrae ferry service to enable all festival ticket holders not staying on the island, to return to the mainland on the Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September. Calmac have guaranteed that ticket holders who get to the ferry slip by 9.30pm each evening (i.e. two hours after the concerts finish) will be transported back to Largs.

Buses will be available both nights from Millport to ensure that everyone who wants to leave the island makes it to the ferry slip on time.

For the first time ever, under the cover of a huge 3,000 capacity concert venue and featuring the best of British and American country music artists including Mark Chesnutt, The Shires,The Dixie Beaver Band, David Ray, Absolute Elvis and many more.
