Little Cumbrae is hosting additional self-development courses on the island to cope with demand.
The Patanjali Yog Peeth Trust charity are promoting the event on ‘Peace Island’, offering meditation and walking tours during two events this month - 10-14 August, and 25-28th.
In their promotion poster, the charity state that the yog retreat and self improvement course on offer includes island walks, yog sessions, shared basic accommodation with vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Healthy Living Through Yog is a simple regime of seven breathing exercises, physical postures and light exercises advocated by Swami Ramdi as a formula for curing or managing most diseases and maintaining good health. Swami Ramdev visited the island celebration launch in 2008.
The yog programme by Wee Cumbrae owners Sam and Sunita Poddar was also rolled out to schools in the East End of Glasgow. 
Earlier Peace Island gatherings have proved so popular that additional events have been added to the itinerary to meet demand with people expected to come from all over the UK to the events.
Coach trips to Largs have been arranged from south London, Hounslow, Wembley, Leicester, Nottingham, and Birmingham for the self improvement courses, followed by boat trips from Largs Yacht Haven out to Wee Cumbrae. 
Their promotional poster states that other dates can also arranged for group bookings.
And the meditation and walking tour weekend was praised by visitors who have attended this year, including Abhishek Vyas of Leeds, who described it as a 'marvellous experience' and had created memories for a lifetime.
Wealthy Glasgow care home owners, Sam and Sunita Poddar purchased the island for £2 million in 2008.
The Patanjali Yog Centre Scotland will cater for between 50 and 100 guests at a time.
Yog promotes health, happiness, and inner harmony using breathing techniques, physical exercises, and postures designed to re-energise, rejuvenate and revitalise the mind, body and soul. Individual treatment plans include a diet of superfoods, juices, fruits and herbal remedies.
Guests are able to experience the benefits of natural cures as well as cleansing and detoxing treatments such as 'colonic irrigation, sinus cleansing, and therapeutic massages.'
