The Cumbrae Flower Show took place last month on the DA Hall, and was considered to be one of the best years for the exhibition and visitor alike.
The results are as follows: Best in show: Rhona Gourlay. Best flower section; Shelia Benzie. Best in vegetable section: Helen Stewart; Best in baking section Eileen McAulay; Best preserved: Helen Stewart; Best crafts: Shelia Benzie; Best fruit: Elieen McAulay; Overall winner: Eileen McAulay. Best in the children's section overall: Niamh Goldie.
Anne Stephen of the Cumbrae Flower Show said: "This was the best year for exhibition and visitors, and the garden club would like to thank everyone for attending and exhibiting. We introduced a new judges' tips section providing advice which went down extremely well with the public, and all the exhibitors. We were delighted that Cumbrae Queen Susan Johnstone came along to present the prizes."
