Do you remember when children's tv entertainer Glen Michael visited the Largs Thistle fayre in 1975?
Or perhaps you recognise yourself in the photo?
Also featuring on one of our front pages in the mid-70s was the Largs Academy prizewinners.
And did you know that Largs used to have its own cricket club? Ladies and gents members took part in a challenge match in 1975. Largs Gents played against the Lady Centurions . The Gents: D Boyd, W Hargan, A Hughes, T. Black, L Martin, J McGinty, A Love, C McAuslan, J Paterson, P McCamley, D Brown.
The Centurious - I.Sim, E.McCulloch, E,McPait, E.Marsden, W.Black. C.Moodie, M.Reveley, A.Nicol, M.Porteous, W.Cossar, G.Moodie.
And not unlike earlier this year, police were surprised to get a call of a plane landing on the island, but this time it was on the local seafront, as a pilot decided to stop off for some leisure time in Millport. And why not?!
