Christmas is a special time on the Isle of Cumbrae with a festive weekend, Santa dash, and even a visit from Father Christmas still to come on Christmas Eve.
During the recent festive Friday, there was a Santa parade led by Millport Pipe Band and Father Christmas on his sleigh, and Santa's stunning grotto was based in Mapes toy shop where Santa met loads of children.
And the annual Santa run on Millport seafront on Saturday was very popular and gave islanders the opportunity to dress up and brave the cold conditions with the aid of a beard and a warm costume!
The yuletide weekend included carol singing from the Cumbrae primary pupils, a panto at the DA Hall by Hopscotch, and a puppet show at The Royal George Hotel, ensuring a busy weekend of entertainment for all the family.
And Santa runs on Christmas Eve with his sleigh. For more details, see the Millport Notes this week.
