A man has been taken to hospital after a blaze broke out in his Millport property on Thursday morning.
A fire crew spokesman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 8.53am on Thursday, December 21, to reports of a dwelling fire on Cardiff Street, Millport.
“Operations control immediately mobilised one appliance to the scene and a second a short time later.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used high powered hoses to extinguish the flames and one casualty, who had exited the property prior to our arrival, was taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precautionary measure.
