Cumbrae Garden Club held a very successful festive party night last month.
Over 30 guests enjoyed drinks and an excellent buffet prepared by the Newton Bar and followed by a Scottish trivia quiz.
Alister McIntyre was the excellent quizmaster on Scottish trivia and Helen, Jane, Rena and Morna proved to be the winning team.
Next meeting is Thursday 25th January 7.30 pm in the Newton Lounge when the topic is "A Touch of Burns".
All are welcome to come along (non members £3) and enjoy the music, food, drink and words of Robert Burns.
The club's November meeting was entitled "Show Judges Top Tips" and was very well attended by members and guests. Visiting expert flower show judge Kenny gave an informative talk on how a judge awards (or deducts) points for show entries.
