Class A drugs find after Millport mayhem
On Saturday, police received numerous calls concerning reports of a disturbance in Millport Town Centre.
A single police officer on duty attended at the Quayhead where he found five drunken males who were very abusive towards him. The officer requested they leave the island and conveyed them to the ferry slip on the next available bus.
The group of young disruptive men continued their bad behaviour, and the policeman decided that the best course of action was to keep the five men on board.
Further re-inforcements were called for, and all five youths were apprehended for breach of the peace, and one of the males was found to be in possession of a quantity of class A drugs. All the youths were from Rutherglen.
