Tallulah sits with Alison McCrae in the special ambulance

Recovering Millport primary schoolgirl Tallulah McConnachie was in the picture at a Glasgow hospital, as we report in the front page photograph.

Ann McCrae, widow of the late great motor rally driver, Colin McCrae met Tallulah as she visited the hospital to donate £35,000.

The money, which will be used to purchase specialist medical equipment for a new paediatric intensive care ambulance, is the first major donation from the Colin McRae Vision Charity.

Alison McRae was pictured in the new interior of the ambulance with six year old Tallulah.

Tallulah was rushed to Yorkhill Children's Hospital after being badly bitten on the throat by a dog before Christmas.

She was in intensive care for a week following the accident and although now back at school, Tallulah faces a further operation to check her windpipe is healing properly. Photograph and additional information: www.rallybuzz.com

Last week Tallulah's family issued a comprehensive thanks, through the 'News' to the many who had expressed good wishes during her hospital treatment.
