The owner of Millport's controversial new pharmacy has denied claims that the business is up for sale just months after its opening which was opposed by a residents' campaign.

Last week, islanders spoke of their shock at the apparent 'sale' after Ayrshire and Arran Health Board gave a year's notice to Millport GPs to close the long-established Garrison dispensary.

It transpired that TLC Pharmacy's Stuart Street business was first marketed by Stirlingshire-based Wallace Properties back in November, shortly after it first opened.

However, Mr Semple has vehemently refuted the claims.
