Carole and John Barrowman made a whistlestop tour of Cumbrae on Friday.

Famous celebrity John Barrowman and his sister Carole made a surprise visit to Millport last Friday.

Doctor Who and Torchwood star John made his first journey to the Isle of Cumbrae since the age of 9, and paid a visit to local business Astikkos Creations, who have been promoting their book 'Hollow Earth'.

Millport and the Isle of Cumbrae are given the fictional names of Seaport and Auchinmurn respectively in the novel, which includes many familiar places and local landmarks.

Find out the exciting reason why John and Carole visited Millport in this week's Largs and Millport News.
