Millport resident have proudly completed the purchase and insuring of their own community skiff.

The large rowing boat project was first mooted in 2010, with Cumbraes Yacht Club holding a meeting where plans for a skiff were put on display.

Some 20 coastal communities across Scotland all embarked on a similar project to build a St Ayles Skiff, with the object being to encourage community spirit and unite residents of all age groups within the community.
