An impressive feature for the homecoming of the Queen's Baton to Cumbrae on Tuesday is this floral decoration of Games mascot Clyde in the Garrison grounds.
A spokesperson for North Ayrshire Council said: “There was a great reception for the floral Viking statue installed by our Streetscene Team for the Largs Viking Festival last year.
“Given that success, the Team created a floral version of Clyde, the Commonwealth Games mascot. Clyde has been placed in grounds of Garrison House, near to the Elm trees which provided wood for the Queen’s Baton.”
