Kind-hearted island residents made sure that cars waiting in the queue for the Cumbrae ferry were well fuelled - with a cup of tea!
There were long queues of traffic on Cumbrae as ferries were off due to the fog, while the MV Loch Shira had also broken down, meaning two smaller ferries were having to cope with the excess Easter traffic.
However, help was at hand. as Jackie McNair explained: “It was Fergus Boyle’s sister who is Bea Beatrice Bath - she is staying at Downcraig (Whitehouse) for Easter, who provided the tea for everybody.” Kim Mcintyre said: “Good for you Bea - lovely gesture. Hope you enjoyed your time back home for Easter.”
