Jazz lovers should head to Millport on Sunday as it is offering free live music at the marquee in the Garrison grounds.
The Millport Festival Group have achieved grant funding from SSE in order to host a twenty piece jazz band which will be playing both traditional and new sounds.
Fresh from performing at the Glasgow Jazz Festival on Sunday, the ‘Zig Zag Big Band’ event will be performing throughout the day at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
The band perform challenging, original and contemporary chart mucic. Think tunes and arrangements by Mingus, Horace Silver and fantastic modern composers such as Ryan Quigley and Scott Free.
