The new 5MW solar farm set for Millport will host a tearoom, visitor centre, and become an attraction in its own right, showcasing the diversity of wildlife and biodiversity in the area.
Ecological studies on similar sites have shown that there is a lot of opportunity to cultivate the local wildlife and wild flowers, and with over 120 different species of birds on the island, the company are keen to make this a part of the project.
One option that Complete Solutions are keen to consider is making it a community run enterprise, and are very keen to get the community onboard for the overall £11m solar farm and holiday spa development for the island.
The company say they have received some ‘great positive feedback’ from the public since announcing the 5MW solar farm for Ballochmartin Farm, and holiday village at West Bay with hotel, swimming pool, function hall, and retirement housing was revealed.
