Armed Forces Day
On Saturday 27 June in the community room, Largs Library, there will be an exhibition to mark Armed Forces Day.
From midday until 4pm. there will be a display of Royal Observer Corps instruments, equipment and memorabilia relating from World War 2 through to the end of the cold war. In the event of a nuclear attack on the United Kingdom, learn how the ground zero, weapon power and fallout pattern would be measured and plotted.
The event is free however any donations will be given to the "Help for Heroes" registered charity.
Bosom Buddies
The next meeting is on Monday 29 June at 7.30pm in the Lounge, Main Street. The group will be having their family night. It will be a fun evening with a raffle, and a quiz, followed by a delicious buffet. Come along, bring a friend, or a family member, you will be made most welcome. Christian Aid
The Largs Christian Aid Committee"s AGM will be held on Wednesday 1 July at 2pm in the Session house of St Columba"s Parish Church. All interested are invited to attend.
RNLI Open Day
The Largs Lifeboat Open Day takes place on Saturday 18 July from 12 noon onwards. A full day of activities and events take place including helicopter rescue displays and the Largs Round Table"s Raft Race. Anybody who is interested in participating and building a raft should phone Stephen on 07711 906 405. The Lifeboat is also having an Open Day ceilidh fundraiser from 8pm till midnight at Inverclyde Sports Centre later that evening.

Table top sale
Largs Blooming Lovely are hosting a table top sale bric-a-brac and plants at the Toc H rooms in Bath Street, Largs, on Saturday 27 June from 10am-12 noon.
African Choir
'The African Children"s Choir are grateful to St John"s Church for the opportunity to sing last Sunday evening and thank everyone who contributed to the donations which have amounted to £2240. They are also indebted to the families who have accommodated them throughout their stay in Largs'
Coffee Morning
Staff and residents at McCarthy & Stone"s Cumbrae Court in Largs are inviting visitors to a coffee morning for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Everyone is welcome to the event at the private retirement development in Nelson Street. Doors open at 11am on Monday, 6 July.
Garden Party
Well done to Carole-Anne Collins of Largs who won tickets for the Kelburn Garden Party music festival last weekend following a recent "News" competition.
Largs Litter Pick Up
Largs Blooming Lovely are having a litter pick-up on Sunday 2 August from 2-5pm in readiness for the Scotland in Bloom judging on 5 August. Meet at Toch H Building in Bath Street all the equipment will be provided. Bring your family and friends.
