BARN STORMERS ... Local band heading for big break?
Hard-hitting indie rock band 'Less than Sober' could be on the edge of stardom as they bid to win a recording contract today (Saturday)... after starting in the humble surroundings of a barnhouse in Fairlie!
Paul McCartney used to rehearse in a farm in the Mull of Kintyre and for these five local lads, they are hoping they can carry on their magical mystery tour which
has already seen them win heats in Glasgow and Newcastle.
The band members are ex-Largs Academy pupils - Peter Blackstock (drums), Jamie Russell (bass), Kristoffer McDowall (lead vocals) Daren Kelly (lead guitar) and Chris Chapman (rhythm guitar) have been selected in the nationwide contest for a cool £20,000 AND a record deal.
And all this, and their studio is in a local barn at the back of Fairlie where they rehearse their top tracks for the 'Live and Unsigned' event which takes place this Saturday evening in Portsmouth.
