Access forums are taking place in West Kilbride and Millport. Picture taken at Hunterston.
North Ayrshire Council and North Ayrshire Outdoor Access Forum are keen to ensure that residents and visitors enjoy as much of this wonderful landscape as possible, while respecting landowners and managers rights and interests as well.
They have been reviewing North Ayrshire's Outdoor Access Strategy - aiming to get the best balance between the rights of the public to access land across the area, and the rights and interests of those who own and manage that land.
Anyone with an interest in the outdoors - from ramblers to landowners, cyclists to canoeists, kayakers to horseriders - is invited to have their say on the draft strategy..
Copies of the draft strategy are available as loan and reference documents from local libraries, on-line from www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk/outdooraccess, or on request from the Access Officer on 01294 324766 or via accessofficer@north-ayrshire.gov.uk
A Drop In Sessions will be held on Monday, August 8 at West Kilbride Village Hall, Arthur Street, West Kilbride from 4pm - 6.30pm and on Saturday, August 16 at The Garrison, Millport from 4pm - 6.30pm.
