Ex-footballer Simon is new island pc

The new Millport policeman on the beat loves living on the island, and used to be a footballer for Bradford City.

Simon Ashley, who has moved to the Isle of Cumbrae with his family, applied for the vacant PC position recently, and was delighted to be accepted for the position.

The 35 year old has been working in the east end of Glasgow for the past nine years, and welcomed the opportunity to move to the island with his young family.

In fact his wife is starting a dance school on the island.
