Ferry sailings were disrupted on Wednesday morning due to power cut on Cumbrae.
A substantial power cut on the Isle of Cumbrae has left 1600 residents without power since 7.30am on Tuesday.
Scottish Hydro, a subsidiary of Scottish and Southern Energy, provide electricity to the customers on the island. The blackout continued into Wednesday morning as we went to press. The outage has even resulted in delays and cancellations to the Cal-Mac ferry service.
Millport photographer Ailsa Tomany said: "We've got a generator running which is powering the boiler, so have heat. Using a camping stove for cooking and candles for light! The coal fire is on in the living room."
