In reply to criticism from local Labour politicians Mr Kenneth Gibson, SNP MSP for Cunninghame North said RET would come to the Clyde to make travel cheaper for islanders.

In a statement to the 'News' Mr Gibson scoffed at a claim by local Labour councillor Alex Gallagher that the Scottish Government would sell off the local ferry route.
