Lord joins battle to save United Kingdom

Lord Glasgow has joined an inner group within Westminster which is aimed at trying to save the United Kingdom from independence.

The Liberal Democrat peer is vehementy against break up of Britain and believes it would be counter productive in the extreme for Scotland and England to go its separate ways.

Lord Glasgow said: " It has been beneficial to both Scotland and England, and splitting it at this stage, would be disastrous."

  The union has definitely benefited this old geezer (what is his real name anyway?), his family and friends but the health, education, lifespan and indeed most life metrics and opportunities suggest to me that the union has been a disaster for most people in North Ayrshire.

  Fish supper every single person for as long as anyone can remember has received free health care and free education. Whether they choose to embrace the education is another matter all together. we can all chooser to learn however its hardly the fault of the Union if we as a nation squander the potential opportunities and embrace mars bar suppers, kebabs and cheap drink.
  
  The only think we have embraced as a nation is the NHS to deal with the fall out.
  
  Is anyone so naieve to believe that all this will change in an independent Scotland? Perhaps when we all work in the wind turbine factories which seem to be the be all and end all then we will have hope

  He struggles to save his own "castle" and grounds, selling the land off the the highest bidder and he thinks he can save the UK, he's only looking out for himself as if Scotland becomes independand his lordship could potentially mean nothing.
