AMEY remove works

Amey acted to remove obtrusive pavement works last week after the 'News' intervened on behalf of local businesses.

The Bagel Basket cafeteria has been unable to put out its outdoor seating earlier this month during the school holidays, and stated that Amey had originally intended to fence off the area for just 48 hours.

However, the disruption carried on for much longer, and when the 'News' contacted Amey last Thursday lunchtime, the works were taken down later that day.
