Fantasy book is big draw for Millport

The children's fantasy novelisation 'Hollow Earth' is being heralded as a massive tourism opportunity for Millport.

In the Millport Tourist Association report by Chairman Ken Mapes, the book by tv star John Barrowman and sister Carole is being highlighted as a potentially great boon for the island.

Mr Mapes stated: "The book has already been helpful in promoting Cumbrae and with a tv series planned it could be potentially huge for the island. We must be active to help the producers whenever possible to gain maximum exposure."
