A woman allegedly crashed a car into a wall of a private property in Largs last Wednesday morning.

According to reports from local residents, the car was only stopped from hitting the house by a cherry tree. The bizarre incident occurred in Charles Street, Largs, at 11.45am on 5 February.

A police spokesman said: “An 85 year old woman has been reported with road traffic offences, including damage to a motor vehicle and a garden wall.”
