It has been a very busy month for Skelmorlie Golf Club socially with a number of functions booked which all helps in the running of the bar. A huge thank you to Trisha, Emma, Gillian, Sophie & Michael for all their hard work at these events.

Winter golf is now upon us and the seasonal maintenance programme is now underway. Please bear this in mind while the greens are hollow tined. This necessary work takes a while to settle but all the players will reap the benefits in the long run. The guys are doing a great job in keeping the course open. However, due to the weather, the course is very wet underfoot so please be careful out there.

Please take great care when out on the course at this time of the year. The ground conditions as you will be aware are very wet and slippery and all the wooden bridges and steps around the tees are especially slippery, as well as many of the areas of sloping grass surrounding the greens and tee’s and also on a number of the sloping fairways. It is always the club's intention to keep the course open and golf available whenever possible.

The Christmas party takes place on Sunday 17 December. To attend, please enquire at the club - the sheet is now up in the lobby.

The rescheduled date for the club AGM is now Thursday 7 December in the clubhouse at 7.30pm.

The club have reinstated the Wednesday night Games Nights and these are running every two weeks. The bar is open from 7-10pm and we have a number of games – Table Tennis, Carpet Bowls, Darts, Putting and Quoits. Why not pop along and join in the fun.

Club 200 ... Congratulations to the latest £100 winner Mr F Hay. Still time to get in on the action and purchase a number for the remaining draws. Cost is now £8 to enter for the remaining months.

Joker update...The Joker Jackpot recently reached £555. The remaining cards are diminishing so the chances of picking the Joker are getting higher every week. This is an excellent fundraiser for the club and well worth a £1 for a go.
