A burst water main was located at Skelmorlie Castle Road on Tuesday morning.
Customers have been warned that they may experience loss of water supply, low pressure, and discoloured water.
A squad was on site on Tuesday afternoon to carry out the necessary repairs and restore supplies as soon as possible.
Updates were given on the Scottish Water website.
A spokesman for Scottish Water said: "We estimate that more than 100 properties are affected. We are working to restore normal supplies as soon as possible. Some properties will have their supplies restored before others depending on their location on the network."
