The pick up point for Skelmorlie schoolkids travelling to Largs Academy on the bus is to be moved to reduce congestion at the village cross.
The school bus currently stops at the cross, but will move a couple of hundred yards down the road to Skelmorlie Community Centre under the new proposal.
Local residents will have a chance to have a say on the proposals.
Councillors heard about the congestion issue at the local area committee last week. as well as the the pick up relocation, the proposals also include the removal of the bus bay road markings at the cross near Spar.
