Football star Nacho Novo has donned a Rangers top in his hospital bed as he continues to recover from a heart attack in Berlin.

The model girlfriend of the ex-Light Blues player shared the image on her Facebook page.

Stephanie Heaney described how her other half is “getting stronger everyday.”

The 33-year-old, from Busby near Glasgow, wrote: “Thanking everyone for the well wishes and messages and the Rangers Football Club and all the staff for their support, especially John Brown (bomber).

“Nacho’s totally overwhelmed by the support and looking forward to getting home .

“And he’s sporting his best in his Rangers top getting stronger everyday.”

In an earlier post, she said: “He’s even starting to pick up a little bit of German. Danke.”

Novo, 38, was featuring for Rangers in the AOK Traditionsmasters 2018 in Berlin when he was taken ill on Saturday evening after they had been knocked out of the round-robin tournament.
