Dog Dirt Complaints
Residents are complaining about the mess left on pavements by those who do not clean up after their dogs. Anyone who has encountered this problem knows how horrible it is to get shoes etc clean afterwards. Please clean up after your dog and if your older child is walking the dog remind them they are not exempt in cleaning up either.
New Railings
Wemyss Bay has had more railings added on the sandstone wall which is next to the ones on the wall overlooking the Burn coming from the Caravan Park.
Inverkip Guild
Inverkip Guild was pleased to welcome Mr John Pow on Tuesday evening 22nd November when the original speaker was unable to attend. Mr Pow spoke about the background to McKay Bakery, a well known former Bakers in the area. Going back to the Highland Clearances and the story of those who suffered at that time,
Tomas McKay was one person who suffered having been sentenced to deportation and eventually ended up in Largs where the bakery was founded.
John told the members all the history is available in the Skelmorlie Isle in Largs and recommended a visit there.
John was thanked for filling in at short notice.
Ladies are reminded that the Guild Christmas party is on 6 December.
