Speed Limit

It could be that cars were ignoring the Police Signs on the A78 outside the Village but now there are large 40 mph signs and Police Camera warnings from before the “Point” and up to former Power Station site. As Police move from the bungalow under investigation they have to cross the road to where they park and run the gauntlet of the cars. .

No Fly Zone

The Police issued a no fly zone for drones in the area where the investigation into the disappearance of Margaret Fleming is ongoing. This is in force till the end of February. This follows the appearance of pictures in certain papers of the over view of Seacroft Cottage Inverkip

Wall Damage

A large section of sandstone wall was demolished at a house in Skelmorlie just before the Church.

Bad road surfaces

The area at the junction of Langhouse Road and Main Street has been causing headaches to drivers. The metal coverings have gone now but the surface is bad. This is all in conjunction with the new Community Centre work.

Community Centre

There was an official hand over of the keys to the new Community Centre last week. The £1.8million building which has a multipurpose community hall, changing rooms, library, training centre and meeting room with kitchen facilities has been a much needed addition for the Village There is also a 5 aside football pitch with flood lighting. It is hoped that the Official opening will take place in January.
