Take a trip back in time to the height of 1770s fashion thanks to West Kilbride Museum!
The Village Hall facility is displaying a beautiful collection of embroidered fabrics and lacework, much of which is seldom displayed due to the fragility of the fabrics.
Gwynne Donohoe said: "We have a dress of 1770s which would have been worn by a lady in the time of Robert Burns, not a country wench, but someone attending the salons. Pop in for a look round.
The West Kilbride Musuem is based in the Village Hall in Arthur Street, on the second floor, and is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am-12.30pm and 2pm-4pm. The embroidered fabrics and lacework will be on display for the rest of the month.

West Kilbride Museum, founded in 1988, is a small museum which has a varied collection of relics from all sections of the town and surrounding area. Those relating to farming and weaving are on permanent display as is a selection of old toys and dolls.
