A 46 year old West Kilbride driver was seriously injured following a road collision on the shore road from Seamill to Ardrossan on Monday evening.
The incident happened near to Loup cottage at the caravan park on the A78 involving a Skoda car and a lorry.
The road had to be closed and traffic diverted for approximately two hours to enable recovery of casualties and the vehicles. Both drivers were injured with no other persons involved. The other driver was a 38 year old man from Irvine. Both men's injuries were described as serious but non-life threatening upper limb injuries.
