SCARECROWS are popping up everywhere in West Kilbride! Which can mean only one thing – the Tattie Bogle festival is back!

Started 10 years, the Tattie Bogle Festival is the UK’s first and best community event of its kind.

Now much copied up and down the country, locals and businesses throughout the town pit their creative crafting talents against one another to come up with the most imaginative and striking Tattie Bogle.

There are various events happening around the town while the festival is on.

On Saturday there was a Wizard of Oz themed tea party in the village hall.

Saturday, July 19, is Gala Day Revisited – a Fun Day with an opportunity for the Gala Queen and her royal party to reign without the rain.

There will be all the gala day type of fun but mostly indoors at the village hall from 12-6pm.

On Saturday, July 26, the town will stage a musical extravaganza with a variety of style of music in Kirktonhall Glen and a string quartet at the Barony Arts Centre.

The music will carry on in the evening at The Tavern and the Kings Arms with bands to be announced. So come along and enjoy the festival!
