Largs Academy pupils received their much anticipated SQA certificates earlier this month.

The school is delighted to report consolidation of pass rates in S5 and S6, for the 10th year in succession, and substantial improvement in our S4 results.

Head teacher Heather Burns said: "We have been some outstanding individual performances and many pupils responded well to the strategies we employ to raise attainment, including a new tracking and monitoring system introduced last session."

Our 10 year average figure for achieving 5 or more passes at level 5 is 51%, and this year an amazing 61.26% (117 pupils) of S4 pupils achieved 5 or more National 5 passes at grades A, B or C.

In S4, 28 Largs Academy pupils achieved 7A passes at National 5. In S5, 23% (46 pupils) passed 5 Highers and Maria Elisa Carbonell, Luke Hamilton, Ailie Macpherson, Erin Noble and Euan Temporal achieved A passes in all of their exams.
