We would like to say a very big thank you to all who got involved in understanding the implications of the Halkshill Blair Park forestry proposals.
A project which if it is approved will make a big difference to the hills behind Largs and something we believe is detrimental to the town.
Save the Gretas have lodged our objections with Forestry Commission Scotland and we understand at least six other groups, with varying views,   including North Ayrshire Council and Largs Community Council have also responded along with over fifty letters from members of the public. Our petition with well over 600 signatures to the Forestry Commission Conservator has also been delivered and now it is up to the Commission to come to a conclusion on whether they will approve or reject the application.
Once again thanks for your involvement and interest.

Ian Dippie
on behalf of Save The Gretas.
