"Na, na, na... we are the Theesel, we come from the coast!"

Fans are looking forward to a walk down memory lane when famous players from yesteryear get together for a Sunday brunch on 31 January, kicking off at 12.30pm.

The event takes place at J.G Sharps bar in Nelson Street, Largs, and involves cup winning heroes of Largs Thistle from the glory years in the 1990s.

Thistle's assistant boss Ossie Findlay, Scottish Cup winning skipper Jimmy Murray, and George Wall, who was involved in both 1991 and 1994 cup winning sides, will be featuring at the event.

Former club secretary Taffy Dicks is also on the panel and will provide the committee's perspective behind the triumph.

The Scottish Cup itself will be on display at the event.

The event will be chaired by 'News' reporter Calum Corral, who said: "It is going to be a fantastic event to have all these Thistle legends in the one room, and recollecting the golden era in the club's history. Come along for a good laugh and some great food."

Tickets are only £10 and available from David Blackwood, or ask any members of the committee for what is bound to be a special event recalling the halycon days when Thistle were kings of Scotland as Junior Cup champions.
