Player boss Bryan Slavin has called on Thistle to give their all in their last league match of the campaign at Kilsyth as a victory might yet give Thistle the title.

It is all to play as Largs go into the final league game, and Bryan said that everyone can play their part to cheer the club on to victory.

Three points on Saturday guarantees the Barrfields club a play-off spot at the very least, and it is a remarkable turnaround given at this stage last season Largs were at the opposite end of the table fighting for their lives.

It is a 2pm kick-off at Duncansfield Park. The bus leaves Barrfields Park at 11.30am on Saturday. For seats, contact Don on 675405.

Bryan said: "We could still potentially win the league if we get a win on Saturday. Kilwinning have two games against Rutherglen who pushed us hard, and Cumnock are at home to Clydebank on Saturday.

"There have been so many twists and turns this season, and all we can do now is take care of ourselves and go to Kilsyth to try and get that win to get us a play-off, at the very least.

"Kilsyth made a good start to the season, but suffered a mid-season slump. They got beat by Cumbernauld on Monday night which was probably the last nail in the coffin in terms of their play-off chances, but they were a dangerous side when we played them at Barrfields, and we played some good football to win 3-1.

"I am expecting a difficult game at their park, but we are more than capable of getting a win if our heads are in the right place. There are still some big prizes up for grabs and we need to keep fighting for everything to the very last kick of the ball.

"We have got to believe in ourselves is the main thing - we have got to where we are after a lot of hard work and no small measure of good play. We just need to believe in ourselves and work really hard first and foremost, and our ability will take care of the football side.

"Everyone has a big part to play on Saturday - the players, fans, committee, it is one big last push and hopefully it can get us across the finishing line."

Speaking about the Winton result, Bryan said: "Although we are horrendously disappointed, it is not by any stretch of the imagination the be all and end all. We had some great chances at the end, but in the same vein, Winton could have nicked it with a goal. It is another clean sheet for us, and we created plenty of chances. We will take a lot of positives away from it - but the only positive we don't take is the three points.

"We will get our heads up at training on Wednesday evening, as getting that victory on Saturday is all that matters."

Thistle coach Drew Walsh said: "It is a must win at Kilsyth. We will go up there and battling. This team has not been given anything. We have snarled, and battled, and the team deserves any success it gets because of all the hard work we have put into it.

"Our intention is to win the game and see where that leaves us. We are aware the Winton game was an opportunity missed but we are going up on Saturday intent on getting a victory."
