Largs and Kilwinning shared the spoils in an exciting opening Ardagh Cup encounter.

Largs opened the scoring on five minutes as defender Alan Gilbride was fastest to react from a Jamie McDonald free kick and struck home from six yards at the right post.
Thistle were looking lively as Nicky Jamieson's arching header flew just over the bar, and a chipped pass down the right released James Marks whose diagonal lob from the edge of the area finished just wayward.
Largs were rewarded for their dominance on 31 minutes as Marks scored a fantastic angled volley from the acutest of angles. Marks nearly scored again with a cushioned header which had to be well held by Buffs keeper Burns.
And just as the first half was drawing to a close, Buffs stunned Largs with a speculative half volley clearance.
Robert Boyd launched a 50 yard old fashioned blooter but it was well directed and despite keeper Sean Graham's efforts, the ball astonishingly fell into the back of the net.
Thistle had been relatively untroubled, and it was a cagey start to the second half with few chances.
Striker Robert Love went close with a half volley on the turn from 12 yards which whizzed wide of the left post.
Keeper Burns was penalised for holding the ball outwith the box and Matt Bennett's rising free kick with pace was headed over the bar at the left post by the stretching Marks on 71 minutes.

However, Buffs finished strongly and equalised on 82 minutes as Maitland equalised with a downward header at the right post from six yards.
