Thistle boss Bryan Slavin believes Largs can qualify from the Ardagh Cup group section as they face three testing away games on the spin.
Largs travel to a revitalised Winton Rovers on Wednesday evening, before a local derby at high-flying Kilbirnie, 2pm kick-off at Valefield Park, and visit Scottish Cup champions Beith next Wednesday, 6.45pm kick-off.
Bryan, who has just returned from honeymoon in Thailand, was listed as a substitute on Saturday, and can't wait for the new challenges which lie ahead.
He said: "We aim to start on the front foot and get three points against Winton. We want to be in the right frame of mind coming into the league, and I know we can qualify, it is all about getting the results on the board."
Largs have signed defenders Laurie McMaster and Chris Littler to boost their rearguard after impressive recent performances, and Bryan is hoping to bolster the team further with a midfielder and striker. The boss said: " It is great to be playing some Premier teams this coming week. It is a real step up in quality from last season compared to the places we had to go to last year - this is what it is all about."
