It is a new era at Largs Thistle after Peter Connor was installed as president of the club at last Thursday's AGM.
Peter was instrumental in helping Largs Thistle receiving the coveted SFA Quality Mark which recognises increasing participation in football, driving high standards and increasing the development of players, coaches and volunteers, which is a priority of the Scottish FA. Peter has also hosted several community football competitions at Barrfields Park.
Last Thursday's meeting was held in the hospitality cabin area at Barrfields Park and resulted in some changes to the office bearers of last season.
Martin Phillips has been involved in the club during the past four seasons, and was involved in making the Barrfields 3G Park a reality, which was funded by Euro millionaires Colin and Chris Weir, and has been thanked for the important role he has played at Barrfields during recent years. Martin has decided to stand down from the committee.
