There were medals and personal best times galore from North Ayrshire Amateur Swimming Club’s younger swimmers at the weekend as they competed against swimmers from as far afield as Dumfries and Stranraer at AuchenharviePool.
Emma McLarty (10) from Largs took the bronze medal for her first ever 200 individual medley and achieved creditable swims in her other events.
Isla Waller (9) also from Largs took a massive 14 seconds off her 100 Butterfly time and was awarded a ‘swam too fast medal’ for this event as well as gold for 200IM, silver for 100IM and bronze for 100 free, backstroke and breast stroke.
Alexander Pryce also 10 from Skelmorlie swam well in all his events and was rewarded with 3 personal best times and a silver medal for the 400 freestyle event and Daniel Convery also 9 from Largs swam well in his first gala.
