Police officers were in attendance during Saturday's Largs Thistle v Kilbirnie Ladeside football clash.
Inspector Brian Skimming of Largs Police said; " I had arranged for two officers to pay a visit as part of the ongoing support we have offered the club.
"On arrival and after speaking to Club Officials, including the club president, two males were turned away as the officers were advised that they were now "barred after their behaviour at the last home game".
"Some alcohol was found to have made it into the ground and was seized in the stand - no person identified as owner and no one reported.
"I am being told that the more "mature" fans were appreciative of our attendance as they don't want an element of the support causing "unwanted attention" on the club.
"We will attend later in the season and purely to provide reassurance and support to the club officials."
