Playing their third game in five days, Largs got off to a sluggish start and due to an indecisive piece of defending and a long distance strike, found themselves two down inside 15 minutes.

Thistle pulled one back half way through the half when Jamie Mills played a one two with Lee McShane before releasing David Griffins in on goal. Griffins held off his defender and calmly slotted the ball home.

As the hosts began to tire, Thistle stepped up the intensity and once more took the lead when, with ten minutes left, an in swinging free kick from Mills was headed home from eight yards by Florence to claim his second of the game.

With time running out, Allen finished the scoring, when after good work by Benjamin Riley on the right side of the park, Allen latched onto a back heel from Robert Jack, to thunder home Thistle's fifth from just inside the area.
