Skelmorlie Golf Club showed some good progress in the Ayrshire Fourball Championship.
Alan Pole and Martin Cairns (Prestwick St Nicholas) beat Tony Storrie and Robbie O’Brien (Ayr Seafield) by 6 & 5 in the second round but were defeated at the next stage, away from home, by Graham Anderson and Graham Todd (Skelmorlie), who went into the last eight of the competition.
The second round matches in the Ayrshire handicap club team knockout competition for the President’s Putter, have been completed.

The Ayrshire Ladies’ team who will contest the 2017 West Of Scotland Inter County Championship at Hamilton Golf Club from 12th to 14th June has been announced.
